RIPPING THE REAPER.

GOSHTA CHOTI DONGRAEVADHI (Marathi Chitrapath)

Folks we have always been inclined towards the glamor and the fast moving city life. The life where everything is made available and there is everything that you desire. Amidst this fake desires what we fail to apprehend is the mental and emotional peace. The rejoice that we actually should embrace has been lost into the dusty old villages.

Now for the next few minutes i request you to understand and build a world that this movie has planted in our hearts. The world where reality is not Happiness but scorning truth. In this era, every person with a degree in every field except agriculture is paid respect and holds a respectable value in the society. A farmer is one such human being, who should be prayed before we have the first bite of our meal. But, today a farmer is considered as a poor underclass under privileged person, who doesn't hold a social value in our society. Please pay your attention here, When the rates of Potato or Onion hikes by a rupee or two, people express there agitations and protest against the government, but not a single person stands against the LAYS or PRINGLES chips making companies who sell air within the packet with a same amount of that of 1kg Potato. We pay 500 bucks for a large size Pizza but cant pay the fixed rate at a vegetable store, as bargaining is our birth right. I don't want to comment anything against the people or society or the government, but i just want to feed a the sensible heads with this thought that aren't the farmers human being, don't they deserve the Happiness? don't they have a family who expects to have a 2 times meal and send their children to the schools. Currently answer to all those above questions is a straight NO.

This is all the movie about, why the suicide is the only option left for a farmer who tries to think of his family's future. The characters have put life to the character of the farmer and his family. The impeccability of the movie leaves you spellbound and put you in wonder that how does a farmer and his family even survives.

Final Word: The best Marathi flick that reflects the very true situation of the farmers and his family. Must watch for everyone!!

My rating: 10/10
